Hall 10

It is mostly given over to Pharaonic objects sent from Cairo. These include some painted sarcophagi, amulets and statuettes in bronze and faience of divinities whose cults continued right throughout antiquity. The last pagan temples at Alexandria were closed, and not without resistance, in the 4th century AD.
As well as parts of a bas-relief from the Pharaonic temple of Tell Athrib, modern Benha and ancient Athribis, situated in the Delta 60km north of Cairo.
